The speakers also incorporate a bi-wiring configuration, enhancing midrange performance, and a die-cast bottom plate with an integrated double-flanged, down-firing bass reflex port for improved bass response. Additionally, the convex baffle shape helps reduce reflections, further improving sound clarity.

The JET 6 tweeter, part of ELAC’s renowned Air Motion Tweeter technology, is used throughout their loudspeaker range. Known for its lightning-fast response and wide dynamic range, this high-frequency driver offers minimal distortion, exceptional headroom, and a frequency response that extends beyond conventional dome tweeters. ELAC’s Air Motion Tweeter technology, utilized in the JET 6, features an Air Motion Transformer principle that provides a linear frequency response extending above 50 kHz. The tweeter is highly efficient, with an efficiency rating of 92 dB/W/m, and delivers ultra-fast transient response with remarkable detail resolution. This technology improves signal accuracy and offers an extended lower frequency range.

The AS-XR Technology is used in the crystal membrane woofer. The aluminum sandwich membrane with an eye-catching crystal surface not only serves as a design feature but also increases the stiffness of the cone. This results in an extended frequency range with a smooth roll-off, excellent large signal behavior, and minimized VAS. The latter allows the speakers to produce significant bass despite their compact cabinet size.
