Vela BS 403.2 – 2-way bookshelf speaker with JET 6 tweeter
The Vela line – a combination of technologies with over 95 years of acoustic expertise and design. High-gloss lacquered or real wood veneered cabinets with a trapezoidal cross-section not only look beautiful, but also offer significant acoustic advantages. The Vela line builds on the successful and high-performance Line 400, but with improved imaging in stereo and multi-channel operation for modern living environments.

JET 6 TWEETER
The JET 6 tweeter, a so-called AMT (Air Motion Transformer), was developed and is manufactured in Kiel, northern Germany. It is characterized by an extended frequency range (up to 50 kHz), low distortion, remarkable clarity in the upper treble range, and unprecedented fine resolution and microdynamics.
DOWNFIRING
The bass reflex port of the Vela series is directed downwards to reduce ventilation noise and for greater flexibility in placement.
ALUMINUM SANDWICH WOOD DOOR
The special aluminum sandwich construction combines two advantages in one design: light weight and high rigidity. Thanks to the high torsional stiffness of aluminum, combined with the high internal damping of the cellulose diaphragm, the AS-XR (Aluminum Sandwich – Extended Range) woofers deliver clean and precise sound, without unwanted resonances or distortion.

This tweeter impresses with its lightning-fast impulse response and wide dynamic range, while simultaneously offering minimal distortion, high headroom, and a significantly extended frequency response compared to conventional dome tweeters. The ELAC JET tweeter is one of the most respected tweeters in the entire audio industry and has received international acclaim for its transparent and effortless high-frequency reproduction. Designed and manufactured in Kiel, Germany.
